Ferries arrive into Dublin and Dun Laoghaire from
Liverpool and Holyhead, as shown below. Dublin, the capital, is at the centre
of a major road network for all points north, south and west. Being the capital
however, it suffers more from traffic congestion which may delay you on your onward
journey. Dun Laoghaire is effectively a suburb of Dublin but will allow quicker
access to routes to the south-east.
