Stephens Green

Located beside St Stephen's Green, in the heart of Dublin, Stephen's Green Hotel is a stylish boutique establishment, mixing the modern vibrancy of today's Capital City, with the elegance of Dublin's Georgian past.

The hotel incorporates two listed Georgian buildings, once the home of Irish playwright George Fitzmaurice, and is set with its eye catching modern, glass atrium overlooking the leafy park of St Stephen's Green, just a few minutes walk from the main shopping area of Grafton Street.

As you enter, Stephen's Green is at first modern, with its stylish reception area opening out to the chic wood panelling and soft leather furnishings in the "Magic Glasses" Bar and the refined modern setting of the "Pie Dish" Bistro, both named after two of Fitzmaurice's plays. But on further exploration, original Georgian stucco ceilings and elegant fireplaces of the historic house can be found in the quiet corners of the library and the inner rooms of the restaurant. The Pie Dish specialises in contemporary bistro cuisine, combining international dishes with Irish creativity and flair.

The hotel's guest rooms are all thoroughly modern; each has been designed with crisp contemporary interiors and stylish furnishings offering all the essential modern comforts together with spacious bathrooms with modern fittings.

The range of facilities at Stephen's Green, include a small gym for the exclusive use of hotel residents, wireless internet access in the hotel lobby, full concierge service and private parking. Guests can also avail of the facilities of three sister hotels nearby and bill back to their room.

Stephen's Green presents a true blend of Dublin, a hotel where heritage meets modern life, in the very heart of a truly great European capital. Stephen's Green provides an ideal base for exploring Dublin with a huge wealth of cultural and sporting attractions as well as first rate shopping facilities virtually on the doorstep.

Great location for the Hotle and the staff was great. The only thing I woudl recomend would be either alarm clocks or a call for the wake up. The TV was not a good option

Craig Murray on Wed Apr 11 2007
