Lisheen Castle

Lisheen Castle is a beautiful eighteenth century building, boasting an interesting history. Originally a three storey Irish Palladian country house, Lisheen Castle was lovingly restored by the Everard family in 1996. Having been burnt to the ground in 1921, and completely disused for eighty years, the castle today is a flood lit masterpiece which one can rent for special occasions or for holidays.

There are seven luxury en-suite bedrooms(the Master suite has a wonderful four-poster bed), with lovely views of the Tipperary countryside. There is also interior access to the roof top, from where one can enjoy the panoramic views over the Devils Bit mountain, the Silvermines and the Galtee Mountains.

Enjoy a drink in the library, prior to a sumptious dining experience in the dining room where the Regency dining room table seats fourteen guests in comfort. With a vaulted Norman ceiling and white marble fireplace, the drawing room is an elegant and comfortable room in which to relax. While Lisheen Castle is self-catering, arrangements can be made to provide a top-class chef and catering team to ensure this experience.

Lisheen Castle is the perfect location from which to visit local attractions such as the Rock of Cashel and Holy Cross Abbey. Centrally located, Lisheen Castle is almost equidistant from Cork and Dublin .
