Hotel & Golf Resort is the culmination of over ten
years persistence, vision and commitment to excellence. Surrounded by
stunning views of the Wicklow mountains and Blessington Lakes, Tulfarris
Hotel and golf resort offers a wonderful environment to relax and unwind.
Located only one hours drive from Dublin, Tulfarris is
now an impressive 200 acre resort, boasting a 80 bedroomed, four star
hotel and an 18 hole championship golf course. Tulfarris House was built
in 1760 on the grounds of Tulfarris Castle, and there are 15 bedrooms
in the original house, each individual in design and décor.
The rooms offer spacious accommodation and have been furnished
to the highest standard. All rooms have cable TV, tea/coffee station,
ironing facilities and ISDN line. Choose from a king size bed, or a room
with a double and single bed. The family rooms comprise two bedrooms with
one en suite bathroom.
The original courtyard and surrounding quarters have recently
been restored and repaved. Formerly used as stables and coach houses,
the area is now furnished with seating and patio heaters so you can dine
and enjoy the ambience ‘al fresco’. The garden lounge provides
a wonderful setting for a leisurely evening, perfectly situated overlooking
the 18th green. The sheltered patio area offers panoramic views of the
Blessington Lakes.
Leisure facilities include a fully equipped gymnasium,
sauna, steam room and indoor heated swimming pool. Beauty and massage
treatments are also available. Two tennis courts and a number of walking
trails form part of our extensive grounds. Enjoy a game of snooker on
the full size table, located in the manor house. Snooker and pool room
available for residents.
The 18 hole championship golf course, set on three peninsulas
overlooking Blessington Lakes, was designed by Ireland’s renowned
golf architect, Patrick J. Merrigan. The imaginative use of the natural
landscape to blend an exciting design into an excellent golf layout is
evident throughout the course. No two holes are alike. The Tulfarris course
is already recognised as one of Ireland’s top courses having recently
hosted the Irish Seniors Open Championship.
