An old 18th Century coaching house, Muckross Park Hotel
sits in the heart of the Killarney National Park, just a few miles from
the quaint old town of Killarney.
The Muckross Park Hotel dates back to 1795, an old coaching
house, it was part of the old Muckross House estate of the Herbert Family.
Throughout its long 200 year history the hotel has entertained many guests
of the Herbert’s as well as figures such as Irish Playwright George
Bernard Shaw.

area boasts plenty of space and is elegantly decorated with polished floorboards

furnishings and some historic suites offering luxury and relaxation in
an idyllic setting.
There are plenty of dining options at Muckross Park, the
Blue Pool restaurant offers a fine dining experience set in an ambient
candlelit drawing room, with a menu of international cuisine, served with
presentation and class. Alternatively G.B Shaw's, named after the illustrious
visitor to the hotel, is a Bistro Style restaurant with creative dishes
mixing the traditional with some modern twists. Molly Darcy’s adjacent
to the hotel serves up traditional Irish food to match its traditional
Irish atmosphere with roaring open fires, stone walls, beamed ceilings
and live Irish music.
The Muckross Park Hotel, with its friendly and professional
