Entering the manor house is like stepping back to 1710
when Maryborough house was built for wealthy merchant Richard Newenham.
With the reception area and drawing room fitted with fine antique furnishings
and decorated with period charm while the Grand Hall retains its original
plasterwork features and characterful cantilever staircase. However as
you step through to the extension you are brought back to the present
in style with the very chic, contemporary Garden Room, bar and restaurant,
resplendent with cool leather sofas, soft lighting and smart design.
The bedrooms at the Maryborough are set mainly in the
contemporary extension and are appointed likewise with style and sophistication.
Rooms are spacious, with modern furnishings, king-sized beds and are fitted
with the usual modern facilities including Internet connection, while
executive rooms boast private balconies out facing the gardens. Inside
the original portion of the house are the hotel’s five sumptuous
suites, which are hugely characterful with lots of original features and
an air of timeless elegance.
Dining at the Maryborough is offered in the stylish surroundings
of the Zings Restaurant. Traditional influences mingle with European and
Mediterranean flavours to produce contemporary international cuisine,

the restaurant’s unique walk in cellar.
